National Soup Day

Mmmm good. A nice hot soup is always welcome.

It nourishes and makes us feel good all over. Thursday, February 4 is National Soup Day and Edmonton City Centre is inviting you to pay it forward and “buy somebody some soup” by donating to a charity of your choice. Here are two – one for the body and one for the mind – that ECC has had the privilege of working with.

ACCESS 24/7 for Mental Health

Addiction and Mental Health (AMH) Access 24/7 has consolidated close to one hundred community access points into one front door where patients and families have streamlined access to multiple services, making it easier for patients to navigate the system. In its first year, the centre fielded more than 72,790 calls to the call centre and provided more than 67,200 appointments.

THE MUSTARD SEED

The Mustard Seed is a safe and supportive place where individuals experiencing barriers associated with poverty and homelessness can have their physical needs met in the short term. In the long term, the process to heal and grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for a better life down the road can begin.
