ECC Gift Card FAQ
Where can I buy an ECC Gift Card?
You can buy an ECC Gift Card at Guest Services.
How do I use my ECC Gift Card?
Simply present your ECC Gift Card at the time of payment. Press “credit” on the keypad and sign the receipt. As you use your Card, the balance is reduced by the full amount of each purchase including taxes, charges, and other fees, if any. You can use your Prepaid Card to pay the full amount of the purchase and applicable taxes, if the balance on the Card is sufficient. If you want to make a purchase for an amount greater than the remaining balance by using two payment methods, you must notify the merchant before completing the transaction.
How do I activate my ECC Gift Card?
If you purchased your ECC Gift Card at a retail store, in most cases, the Card is ready for use immediately. However in some cases, there may be a delay of up to four hours when you use and redeem the funds at certain merchants. You can also activate your Card by signing on to the website listed on the back of your Card.
We recommend that you record the following information in case your ECC Gift Card is ever lost or stolen: Prepaid Card number, 4-digit Card Identification Code on the front of the Card, 3-digit Card Security Code located on the back of the Card, and Customer Service phone number.
How do I check my ECC Gift Card balance?
Sign in to your account by visiting the website listed on the back of your card and viewing your Prepaid Card balance, or call 1-833-350-2461 to get the balance information. Please be aware that your balance will reflect all authorization requests submitted at the time of your inquiry.

Using Your Gift Card
Can I use my ECC Gift Card to pay for recurring billing or monthly subscriptions?
No, your ECC Gift Card cannot be used to pay for recurring billing or monthly subscriptions.
Can I use my Prepaid Card to shop online?
Yes! Enjoy using your Prepaid Card to shop online with ECC merchants that accept American Express Cards. The Card may be restricted by some online merchants.
Am I being charged more than what is stated on my receipt?
Some types of businesses request a pre-authorization for a dollar amount that may be higher than your actual purchase. In addition, American Express or some tip-oriented businesses, such as restaurants, spas or hair salons, may add a fixed percentage (up to 20%) when requesting an authorization for your transaction, for the estimated cost for of a gratuity. If American Express or a business pre-authorizes for an amount greater than the actual transaction, the available balance of your Prepaid Card will be temporarily decreased by this amount until the actual transaction posts, typically within eight (8) business days after your purchase. Only the final amount of the purchase will ultimately be deducted from your Prepaid Card. We recommend that you keep track of your available balance, to avoid declines.
What if I have an issue with a product or service I paid for using my ECC Gift Card?
If there is any dispute in regard to purchases you make using the Card, you agree to settle such disputes with the merchant from whom the purchase was made. If a merchant fails to honour the Card, please call 1-833-350-2461 to report the incident. See the Cardholder Agreement for more details.
