Please be advised of the following events taking place in East Retail locations.

  • Thursday, June 20 – National Indigenous Peoples Day
    11:30am – 1:00pm
    We are hosting NIPD (National Indigenous Peoples Day) on Lower Level near the LRT entrance in collaboration with the Government of Alberta. This is a public event and everyone is welcome to watch the performances, listen to the music or short speeches, and visit the cultural tables that will be set up. Attached here is the detailed agenda of the program for your information: NIPD 2019 – Event Agenda. Please note that there will be increased sound levels during the short event time on this date and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you in advance for your support and co-operation.

 

  • Friday, June 21 – Global Wellness Day
    11:30am – 1:30pm
    To celebrate Global Wellness Day, we are hosting a Wellness Fair in front of World Health on Pedway Level with some retailers participating and featuring their health or wellness offerings. There will be prizes, free samples, mini massages, and wellness information at all the tables. World Health has FREE fitness classes on this day – sign up by June 20 in their location or online. Everyone is welcome to attend.

 

  • Thursday, June 27 – Canadian Multiculturalism Day 2019
    10:00am – 2:00pm
    The Canadian Multicultural Education Foundation, CBC Edmonton and Edmonton City Centre are hosting an event to promote the richness of Canada’s multicultural diversity to all Canadians. This event will take place at the CBC Edmonton City Centre stage in front of the CBC studios on Street Level. There will be entertainment, performances, and other free activities. This event will be open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.

Subject: Invitation to Participate – Canada Day 2019

On Wednesday June 26, 2019 Edmonton City Centre will be celebrating Canada Day with a table activation from 11:30am to 1:30pm and we invite you to participate in this marketing opportunity by contributing with items or prizes to showcase your business.

How to Participate

Think big or small and think of any way that you would like to promote your business to customers who we will be interacting with at our table. Giveaways could be anything from products to gift cards to discount vouchers or coupons that will bring a person back to your store. Specifically, we are looking for:

  • Large giveaway prizes
  • Smaller giveaway items
  • Samples of products
  • Discount vouchers or coupons
  • Gift cards or certificates

Feel free to be creative and you can provide as much or as little as you’d like – we will simply give out until we run out of your item. (Please no brochures, menus, flyers, or catalogs). Also, if we have any additional items, we can utilize them at future events. For prizing, you can also provide us with ballots that people will have to bring back to your store location to enter for a prize.

Any contributions must be submitted on or before end of day Monday, June 24th, 2019.
