This afternoon Edmonton City Centre experienced a power outage that caused minor damage to a breaker and resulted in downtime to the electrical operation of the east side of Edmonton City Centre.

In keeping safety top of mind, East Retail and the adjoining office towers were evacuated.

As of 8:39pm, Pace Technologies have shared that the breaker has been repaired and power has now been restored to all affected areas of Edmonton City Centre.

Escalators and elevators will be checked this evening and all signage will be removed from exterior doors. Access to the property will be as normal tomorrow morning.
