Subject: Incident – Storm July 16th; Escalators

As you may be aware, heavy rain caused damage across Edmonton yesterday evening including Edmonton City Centre. The property management team worked across the portfolio to mitigate the various water related incidents, with one of those being located in East Retail.

In addition to our custodial team, our escalator partner OTIS attended site to assess any damage to elevating devices,primarily located within the East Retail atrium. Upon directions from OTIS, the following escalators are currently out of service with a technician reassessing this morning,

• East Retail – Concourse Level to Main Level
• East Retail – Main Level to Second Level

The East Scenic elevator and all other escalators cleared safety inspections and will be turned on this morning as normal.
