Black Futures Market

BOM YEG & Alberta Art Gallery present Black Futures Market

February is Black History Month. This month-long observance in the US and Canada is a chance to celebrate Black achievement and provide a fresh reminder to take stock of where systemic racism persists and give visibility to the people and organizations creating change.

The AGA and Black-owned Market Edmonton (BOM YEG) present the Black Futures Market at the AGA.

The Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA) and Black-owned Market Edmonton (BOM YEG) have partnered to present the Black Futures Market, hosting 15 vendors in the Manning Hall atrium at the AGA to kick off Black History Month (BHM). The market runs on Feb. 5 & 6 from 11am to 4pm and is free. Shoppers can browse locally handmade goods, artworks and items by Alberta’s Black community.
